Anthony Kinzie is the Founder and President of Blue Bear Financial, where he empowers individuals, families, and business owners to navigate their financial lives with clarity, collaboration, and purpose. His approach is shaped by a lifelong commitment to service, education, and teamwork.

Anthony began his career in the U.S. Navy, serving six years as a Nuclear Electrician aboard fast-attack submarines. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Science and Engineering Technology, followed by a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Before founding Blue Bear, Anthony spent nearly a decade at Nucor Steel, working alongside some of the most intelligent and driven professionals. It was during that time that he saw a consistent theme: even highly capable individuals often lacked access to meaningful, strategic financial guidance. That insight sparked his mission to build a firm that prioritizes education, long-term thinking, and trusted partnership.

Anthony is a CFP®, CPWA®, and CEPA® professional as well as an investment advisor representative with additional licenses including Series 7, Series 66, and Life & Health Insurance. He brings both technical depth and real-world perspective to every client relationship, grounded in the belief that good planning starts with listening and grows through consistent, purposeful action.

Outside the office, Anthony is a proud husband and father to three young boys. He enjoys cooking, fishing, live music, and tackling the next ambitious DIY project...sometimes all in one weekend!

Erin supports the firm’s mission of delivering clarity and confidence in every client relationship. With a diverse background spanning financial services, retail planning, and nonprofit leadership, she combines technical precision with a deep commitment to service. Passionate about leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency, Erin is dedicated to improving both client and team experiences across the firm.

Most recently, Erin served as Executive Director of a nonprofit social enterprise, where she built scalable processes, refined operations, and expanded services to better support the women the organization served. Prior to this, she held various roles in financial services, developing a strong foundation in financial planning and client relationship management. Erin began her professional journey in retail planning and business strategy, where she honed her analytical and operational skills while driving measurable sales growth.

Erin holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Miami. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her West Highland Terrier, Olive, as well as reading, traveling, and scuba diving.

Julie is at the heart of Client Success at Blue Bear Financial. Guided by her background in high-touch client services, she is passionate about giving clients peace of mind and confidence in knowing they’re supported throughout their financial journey. With a hands-on, proactive approach, Julie serves as the connecting point between clients and the Blue Bear team. She translates client needs into coordinated action, aligning the right people and processes to provide thoughtful, timely support. Above all else, she is dedicated to building relationships that extend beyond the numbers - helping clients feel connected, cared for, and part of the Blue Bear family.

Julie feels unbelievably lucky to raise three rambunctious boys with her husband here in Charleston, SC. They spend their family time exploring nature, hunting for shark teeth along the shore, and embracing the wonderfully messy and joy-filled moments that make life full.

Matthew Multer brings a disciplined eye for detail and a deep commitment to operational excellence as Blue Bear’s Training and Technology Officer. A proud veteran, he served as an enlisted member in the United States Coast Guard for 7 years, where he developed a passion for precision, process, and helping others thrive in high-stakes environments. 

At Blue Bear, Matt channels that same energy into empowering both clients and teammates. He’s dedicated to creating systems that simplify complexity, enhance performance, and ensure every client interaction is smooth, smart, and secure. Whether he’s optimizing workflows or mentoring the team, Matthew leads with intention, integrity, and an unwavering drive to improve.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, exploring new parks, restaurants, and breweries throughout the lowcountry.

Stephanie brings dedication, organization, and a client-first mindset to every interaction. With a strong background in operations, she plays an essential role in ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for clients and team members alike.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness from the University of North Carolina, Asheville, and brings a thoughtful, service-driven approach to her work.

Stephanie lives just outside of Hickory, North Carolina with her husband, Kenny, their young daughter, Raven, and their two senior rescue dogs. She has a creative side, often found crocheting, baking sweet treats, diving into a good book, or exploring new local coffee shops. Deeply committed to her community, Stephanie also serves as Secretary for a nonprofit organization at her local karate dojo.
